Everything looks better in 3D! even Avatar(s)

Go watch "Avatar" in 3D! end of story. Like the story line or not, you'll enjoy it trust me, and be sure your ass in your seat before the commercials and trailers start, to the 1st time ever I want to watch more trailers before a movie, and don't be ashamed reaching out to that turtle wanting to touch it in the aqua thingy movie or whatever trailer ,or the "registered trademark" sign in "20th Century Fox" logo for that matter!

couple of thoughts on 3D theater though ..

1st of all, congratulations teenagers, making out in theater (do you still do that? it was popular in my time) was never this easy, take your 3D glasses off during the movie and look back, everybody is hypnotized and polarized towards the screen, enjoy.


2nd, I couldn't help but thinking, wow! If we just could watch Shark Week in 3D, Nat Geo or any other nature thingy program that'd be awesome !!


3rd, I also couldn't help thinking, wow! another-genre-of-things-we-watch would be much better and more realistic in double D,I mean 3D!!!


4th, holy crap, there's something called "Watch in 4D"? can't wait to experience that ,I'll also think of 2nd and 3rd when I do that.


5th, DO clean your glasses before watching, that blur in your vision isn't intintional, it must be the guy who wore the glasses before you cleaning it the Jordanian way, spit and wipe.

PS : "I see you". lol (u'll have to watch the movie to get that).

My Gaza Post

Last year my friends in Thailand invited me to go to the islands for new year's, and I said sorry I can't go and they asked why and I tried to explain, but words didn't help much then and I find it stupid to try to put in words any kind of...whatever you wanna call it for Gaza one year after. On this level of feelings and emotions I admit I can't and at the same time don't like to "Express myself", I feel no words are enough and however truthful they were they'll only sound fake and meaningless, they're the ones living in that reality and I'm the one sitting on my ass in my comfortable home trying to talk about them? doesn't sound right to me,feel free to disagree.

 however, for the sake of reminding those who forgot or those who didn't know, I'll post the Gaza Lives On video for it says much about Palestinians

إبعتلي جواب..جواب...و طمني ...ترلم ترلم ترلم

بس يستر على ولياك ما يكون من البريد الأردني هالجواب !!
ناصر، خمسٌ وعشرون ربيعاً، يهوى المطالعة، جمع العمل النقدية والمراسلة،one man,one desire!لا عنجد ! بحب أبعت وأستقبل رسائل وبطاقات بريدية -post cards- من وأنا صغير، بحس الرسائل المكتوبة بخط الإيد غير، مليون مرّة أحلى من الـ E-Cards والدواوين هاي، بس عندي مشكلة -برضو من يوم يومي-، هالبريد الأردني تعّب كلبي الله لا يتعب كلب حدا، طبعاً منذ الأزل وحتى يومنا هذا، البريد الأردني ما بوصّل الرسائل للبيوت، يعني من أكثر الأشياء اللي كنت أستمتع فيها بتايلاند وكنت أحسّها رفاهية مطلقة إنو عنواني البريدي هو عنوان سكني، مش زي هون، كل ما بدك تفتح حساب بالبنك ولا تعمل إشي بحكولك جيبلنا عنوان بريدي، والله ومن وأنا بالجامعة وكل ما بفتح حساب بشتغل هالتلفون وبنصير نتشحود بريد من صحابنا، سؤال يطرح نفسه : ليش يا ناصر ما تعملّك بريد وتريح راسك؟ جواب: لإنو نظام البريد اللي عنّا بسمحلك تقدم طلب لصندوق بريد بكل أول سنة فقط !! وهات عاد لما تيجي أول السنة يخطر عبالك تروح عالبريد وتطلب صندوق! غير هيك صراحة كنت دائماً أحس إنو من حقي إنو يوصلني البريد عالبيت، وإلاّ ما بيوم من الأيام يصير البريد يوصل عالبيت، لكني استسلمت وشكلي بدي أسجلّي صندوق بريد عأول السنة الجاي، المهم شو بدكو بطولة السيرة، قررت السنة أبعت كمشة بطاقات بريدية لأصدقائي حول العالم، من اللي عرفتهم شخصي و من اللي عرفتهم عالإنترنت وصرت صحاب معهم (ييييي...عندو صحاب من الإنترنت... شو عيب! بعرف! إنتو عندكم life أنا ما عندي! غيرو؟) ولملمنا هالأكمّن عنوان ورحنا ندور عبطاقات بريدية بهالمكتبات...و هات لاقي بطاقات بريدية!!! على علمي بلد سياحي إحنا ولا كيف ؟ مش البترا صارت عجيبة معترف فيها؟ فعلاً عجيبة إنو ما لقيت ولا بمكتبة من هاللي دورت فيهم بطاقات بريدية للبترا عالأقل! المهم حكيت مليش غير أروح عالأفغاني زي السيّاح، رحت، طلع عندهم بطاقات بريدية، والوحدة بعشر قروش يعني مش إنو غاليين بس المشكلة إنهم بخزو!!! فش غير وحدة للبترا حلوة، ووحدة تانية لوادي رم، أما الباقي؛ جرش : طالعة كإنها مصورة بكاميرا بولارويد بالستينات! بمزحش! البحر الميت...يا حبيبي عالبحر الميّت، فعلا بيعطيك شعور إنو هاد البحر والهوا كمان ميت بهديك المنطقة، ولاّ عمّان...الله الله الله...صورة للمدرج الروماني ومعمول حواليه حشيش أخضر فوتوشوب أنا بعمل أحسن منو، وهيك صورة باهتة ومش شغل واحد يبعتها لحدا ما عمرو شاف عمّان! والباقي من نفس الفصيلة، المهم أخذتلي تشكيلة، حكيت ببعت الأحلى للناس اللي بهموني أكثر، والناس اللي مضطر أبعثلهم (مثلاً ، تنين صحابك برة بس بطيقش واحد منهم شوي بس مضطر تبعتلو مجاملة كونو بعتلك قبل هيك) قلت هدول ببعتلهم واحد جرش وواحد عمان،أحسن أصلاً بديش يجو يزوروني! وبعدين بدأت معاناتي مع : كيف تبعث بطاقة بريدية من الأردن!!


باختصار شديد، بدك تضرب بالمندل عشان تعرف قيمة الطابع البريدي اللي بدك اياه، وفي حال عرفت، بدك جنّي (مسلم) يدلّك وين في صناديق بريد بشوارع عمّان، بعدين بدّك سبع حجابات وقرن فلفل أخظر مطحون مع حبة البركة و تحلّهم بكاسة مي وتشربهم عالريق عشان تتأكد إنو في احتمال يوصلو للجهة اللي انبعتتلهم (إسأل مجرّب!!) فالحل الأمثل إنك توصل البريد شخصياً، وصلنا البريد، ويا حظي السعيد، ثاني مكتب بريد فش عندو طوابع بريد (أبزق وألزق)، قال في بمكاتب تانية بس أنا ما عندي، فنظراً لإني قرفت وفش عندي وقت قررت أستسلم للأمر الواقع وأبعت البطاقات البريدية بطابع إلكتروني شنيع، يعني الطابع البريدي يكاد يكون أحلى ما في البطاقة البريدية (بعد الرسالة الصغيرة المكتوبة بخط الإيد) بس شو تعمل بالنحس عاد! فاللي رح يوصلو منكو بطاقة مني يسامحنا عالطابع الجميل اللي عليها، والله عنّا طوابع بريدية حلوين بس قد ما هم حلوين بخلصو بسرعة من مكاتب البريد، عشان هيك يعني مش لإشي!
 
وسلامتكم، والكلام للجميع، ولا تهون!.


ملاحظة: ضايل عندي أربع بطاقات قاعدين، (من الحلوين)، اللي بدو يبعتلي عنوان وبنحاول نحصّلو طوابع أبزُق و ألزُق.

Sunny Art Fair & The pictures I once ripped off a magazine

I made it to Sunny Art Fair today, it was the last day, and it was better than expected for the most part, hey Sunny people if you're reading this please let it not be the 1st (is it the 1st btw?) and the last one anyway, as in all art exhibitions I stood puzzled in front of some art works thinking; Is It Me Or Is This B.S ? to be honest, I also wonder if I'm just "not getting it", which piss me off, cuz I'm Mr.Everything-Has-To-Make-Sense-To-Me-Or-Else-Its-Non-Sense ! Emad Hajjaj's section was fun, seeing all those old sketches was interesting, a lot of names I didn't know but two artist by the names Dina Haddadin and Rawan Kakish actually made me want to read all the little biography pasted next to their work, superb young ladies,keep up the good work. oh and there's this guy called Hassan Manasrah (anybody knows him?) I found his work and style to be so close to this picture I ripped off a magazine (it had the works of Jordanian artists) couple of years ago and hung on my wall along with couple of other "pictures" or paintings if you will ,I meant to actually contact those ppl by then but when i googled their names I got no where and I don't recall any of them, so if you know the owner of any of the following art work please do tell, I've been having this art fair in my room for long time with no permission


















and that's about it! oh yea I stopped taking pictures of anything I go to,especially live performances, I figured I spend too much time looking at things through the camera lens rather than enjoy being there,u can find some pictures if you want in Roba's post.

How much do you trust E-Banking services? (with poll)

I've subscribed to the Arab Bank E-banking services since they started - I guess- couple of years back, and comparing today to those old days it has improved much, I now pay all my bills online, not that I don't like to see or interact with real humans, its just more convenient nowadays for me, having to deal with lines of people waiting, the clumsy -sometimes- employee who takes ages to get the job done, the change that's never there of course, so yea I find E-Banking a great tool to save you time and headache, not many of the people I know do that, when I bring it up it all comes down to distrust -of technology in general i guess-, or in technology in this aspect in specific, I don't think you can talk people into it,they either do or they don't ,and those who don't seem to have a profound belief that its a bad idea,there's always this fear of something going wrong and losing their assets, and its not only the older generation, young ones too don't believe its safe ! I'm just curious is it only in the Arab world that this paranoia exist or outside too ? whatever this poll is going to say, I'll still use the online services ,sooner or later people will come around it,I guess ! so, do you trust E-Banking ? Would you pay your bills online ? and why

يعني لو كان سعد الحريري رئيس وزراء....عندو نفط !؟

أجدد فيديو فايع في العالم العربي، سعد الحريري في مجلس النواب وهو يتلعثم بالكلام، عالفيس بوك، عالمدونات، عالموباليلات، بالإيميلات، إللي عندو ثلاّجات غسالات راديات مسجلات تلفزيونات كنبايات عتيـقة للبيييييع...



الصراحة سياسة لبنان معقدة زيادة عن اللزوم وعندي شعور إنو عمري ما رح أفهمها، ولذلك بس حبيت أوضح إني بكتب الآن مش دفاعاً عن سعد الحريري ولا غيرو، بس حاب أحط أصبعي بعنيكو، أو عنينا بالأصح، ولأني بكره لما الناس "تنهجن" على إشي ولما الكل يصير يقلد التاني عالعمياني وبغباء وبدون تفكير لمجرّد إنو موضوع معيّن عامل ضجة، لإنو عادة هاي الأمور بتيجي وبتروح والناس بتفيع عليها وتاني يوم بنسوها، مثال: حرب غزة الأخيرة، محمود درويش، الخ... نرجع لموضوع سعد الحريري، إحنا شعوب جبانة بشكل مش طبيعي، و ما بنستقوي إلاّ عالأضعف منّا ،في وجه الضعيف فش أشطر منّا بالنقد والمسخرة، أمّا عند القوي بنأرنب وبنصير نوتوت لحالنا أو حتّا بنتحسّر بعقلنا بلاش حدا يسمعنا ! يعني اللي عمرو فيكم حضر قمّة عربية، أو اجتماع رؤساء وزراء عرب لقمّة طارئة أو غير طارئة، أو سمع وزير دفاع دولة خليجية يلقي بيان، أو مسؤول سعودي يتحدث عن تجهيزات الحج أو غيرو...بعرف إنو معظمهم مش أفضل من سعد الحريري، بل أسوأ بمرااااحل، خاصة جماعة اللحى وال"متدينين"، إللي المفروض بقرأوا القرآن 5 مرّات يومياً عالأقل،( بالمناسبة، التفسير الوحيد اللي وجدته لهاي الظاهرة، إنو بلكي هدول الجماعة بعملو زي ما كنت أعمل و أنا صغير لما أجي أصلي، دايماً كنت أقرأ سورة الإخلاص "أو: قل هو الله أحد" وسورة الفلق "أو: قل أعوذ برب الناس" بكل صلاة لأنهم قصار، يمكن عشان هيك لغتهم العربية ركيكة)، المهم، فالصراحة قاعد بفكّر...لو سعد هالحريري كان رئيس وزراء دولة قوية وعندها نفط...كان حدا فيكو تفلسف وعمل فيها أبو العرّيف اللي بغلطش ولا بحرف ؟ والله بشك ! على الأقل، خلينا نقدّر إنو بلبنان مسموحلك تحكي للأعور أعور بوجهو بدون ما تخاف على حياتك وأولادك وشغلك وعيلتك الخ الخ الخ... وتذكروا إنكو بتقدروش تتخنفسو لما شوفير التكسي يبلّش يتشكون عالأسعار وعالحياة الصعبة لإنكو بتخافو يكون بدو يسحب منكو حكي ويسحبكوا النمل بعديها، يعني كل هاللي نشروا فيديو الحريري، ممتاز، المرة الجاي اللي بصير إشي بحتاج الناس تفتح ثمامها عشانو، يا ريت نشوف هالحماس المتّقد بصب باتجاه إشي مفيد، على سبيل التغيير يعني بس



و في النهاية... قلعاط اللي يقلعطنا ما أتفهنا!

Maz Jobrani wasn't the funniest..boooo

Of course he was funny enough, but its true Maz didn't rock the house as much as Lebanese Nemr(not NemEr!!)Abou Nassar at Fridays' Stand up comedy night at Al Hussien Cultural Center, also this kind of title grabs more readers than lets say "Nemr Abou Nassar was the funniest!" right? welcome to the world of deceive and marketing !

In case you live in Jordan and have no idea what am I talking about, 1st I suggest you have your sight checked cuz the ads are everywhere ,Amman Stand-up comedy festival is on and is almost done, tickets are sold out long time ago so if you're thinking you're gonna catch a ticket for one of  the two closing nights (featuring Russell Peters aka "somebody gonna get hurt real bad") then forget about it. The management in the event was really good, vallet service, security, people in lines, good stuff really!and the show feautring 5 comedians was a nice break from day-to-day stress and shit,they also gave the chance to one local rookie to come up and perform, he was fine, some of the jokes didn't fly of course, Mexicans,American Football, Making fun of Asians accents, The Pakistani guy (Ali Hassan)'s Curry jokes.. yea... not so many laughed at those, one British (Sherry Davey) went on and on about how ugly the British Royal family look! I myself was scared to laugh to that to be honest! and that woman hates her husband man! oh speaking of husbands !! the funniest thing ?? whenever a woman was asked a question in the audience HER HUSBAND would answer!!!! even the British dude-married to a Jordanian- did that ! that was sadly funny! more of a sad than funny to me actually.
 all in all it was great and worth it, and yea to whoever thought Maz is going to repeat the "youtubes" he didn't! he mentioned the "Persian Meawww" but it was more of telling us about how people reacted to it.

Speaking of funny, did you hear the Tigerwood-ian Rhapsody by Jon Stewart ? watch till the end ...

Sea food in Jordan ? I'll pass ...

So ever since I got back from Thailand I've been longing to have some tasty nicely cooked fish, the one thing I remember distinctively after I spent a while in Thailand is thinking to myself "oh boy! fishes do actually vary in taste, tenderness, etc, and the same kind of fish can also have slightly different taste according to how its cooked!!", that revelation was stunning to me,  cuz for as long as I can remember "fish" tasted the same, always, anywhere (in Jordan;that is). And I remember wishing I had my family and friends there to taste that too! Now its true I got really bored with sea food but one longs for a nice barbecued jumbo shrimp, oh or that deep fried little shrimps ,or the grilled -weird looking- fishes, so I ordered some when I was invited to Tawaheen ElHawa; supposedly a good place with good food right ? but the disappointment couldn't be bigger! The shrimps tasted just like "fish" (Jordan fish,the one and only "fish" u can taste here), and of course the fish tasted like "fesh,the Jordan fesh), and they all tasted the same, I asked the waiter if they cook all fishes with the same oil and he said yes! It was also over done kinda burned!


Then couple of days ago, me and a best friend of mine fulfilled a couple-of-years-long pact to go to this sea food restaurant (The Ocean / المحيط ) in Madina St. when I get a job and have my 1st pay check, we used to pass by it everyday going back from univ and it looked "Expensive" and we put dining there on the bucket list :D and after years of waiting,The Ocean delivered, the same disappointment as in Tawaheen el hawa ! You could tell the shrimp isn't fresh (the grilled), It was poorly done really, and the story of deep friend shrimp repeated itself, it tasted like the fillet! and again the waiter tells me "yes we fry everything with the same oil, but only because its Eid and we have many people) !aha ! so you have this many people and you do your best to serve them so-so food ? I found that both stupid and stupid! and I feel really bad for people here ,I mean if you go to one of those places and pay a good fat bill for having a dinner with your family aren't you at least supposed to have a good meal ? its a pity!

But today I found the best of the worst, this place in City Mall called "Ruby Thursday "(edit : its actually called Ruby Tuesday)lol, they make mean ribs btw try that ! the shrimps were cooked in the same oil as the chicken tenders this time -lol-, but it tasted okay ,I mean it didn't taste anything special,no sauce no nothing,but at least it didn't taste like you're having samak magtoo3 raso :D
So from now on, I'm not paying to have sea food again in Amman, I'll stick to the good old Mansaf.
